RESEARCH: OUTCOMES, VIEWPOINTS & PERSPECTIVES

Bio-conservation

Pinus nigraI have participated in research projects and reports for conservation policies concerning endangered plant populations of species such as Tetraclinis articulata and Juniperus thurifera, among others.

The situation with entomophilous-dominated, xerothermic scrub of southeastern Spain, has also been monitorized over the last decades. This is a relict territory for a number of Ibero-Maghrebian taxa such as Periploca angustifolia, Maytenus europaeus, Withania frutescens, etc.

The region is extremely suitable to virulent, recurrent fires. Following post-fire natural dynamics of vegetation has been one of our common activities for the last twenty years.
